Juneteenth Jubilee Concert
As part of Metro Louisville’s official Juneteenth Jubilee Celebration, Kentucky Opera’s Third Annual Amplify Songs of Justice is an evening of inspiring music, art, and spoken word commemorating this important date in American history.
Local artists raise their voices to sing and celebrate freedom with performances honoring Black musical traditions.
This concert also features Songs of Justice, five civil rights songs commissioned by Kentucky Opera in 2020, composed by Jorell Williams to lyrics by Paula McCraney.
Doors open at 6 pm; concert begins at 7 pm.
