Kentucky Opera’s innovative, brand new production weaves the original myth into an empowering opera. Reimagined by Tara Branham, this ancient tale is given a new perspective for our contemporary world. Céphise is a 1950s housewife trying to live up to her husband’s — and societal — standards, but she discovers herself along the way.
