An evening to support Kentucky Opera’s mission

Celebrate our first commission since 1988 on February 21, 2025. Only 60 tickets available for this exclusive event!

Meet our special guests, composer Chandler Carter & librettist Diana Solomon-Glover.

A 3-course meal and a selection of wine awaits you at 8UP before heading to the Brown Theatre for the show. Please note that the opening night dinner does not include a ticket to the performance.

$150/person. Please consider adding a tax-deductible contribution to support live productions of music and theatre in Kentucky.

Your evening:
5-6 pm: reception
6-7 pm: dinner
7-7:45 pm: coffee & dessert
7:45 pm: walk to The Brown Theatre (5 minute walk)
8 pm: curtain time for This Little Light of Mine

  • Where: 8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen, Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Downtown 350 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40202 a 5 minute walk to The Brown Theatre
  • Attire: Black tie recommended
  • Parking: Valet parking is included with your dinner ticket. Drop off your car at 8UP and pick it up at The Brown after the show! The Brown Theatre is a 5 minute walk away, on the same block as 8UP. If you prefer to drive to the show, ample parking is available in the on-site parking garage and The Brown Hotel/Theatre Square garage.

This Little Light of Mine Challenge
For the month of February, 2025, an anonymous donor challenges you to join them in giving a new or increased gift to Kentucky Opera. This challenge grant will match, dollar for dollar, all new and increased gifts given at, or in honor of, the This Little Light of Mine Benefit Dinner.

New gifts: Your first time donation to Kentucky Opera, at any amount, will make twice the impact! Gifts of all sizes make a meaningful difference, please choose the gift amount that is right for your household.
Returning donors: If you have not contributed to Kentucky Opera since June 2023, your returned support in honor of This Little Light of Mine will go further
Increased support: Those who give annually to Kentucky Opera, would you consider joining this donor with an additional gift this season?
