We Sing for a Nation is a 40 minute program that celebrates Black History Month through musical accounts of individuals who advocated for civil rights, including the first African American to perform at the Metropolitan Opera, Marian Anderson. The program features spirituals, folk songs, blues music, gospel and opera. Available selected dates February – March, 2017. 

  • Program Cost: $350 per performance.
  • Suitable for 2nd grade – adult audiences.
  • Available as an In-School or Field Trip program at the ArtSpace/Brown Theatre.
  • Additional travel cost of $0.57 per mile for mileage over 80 miles round trip from the Kentucky Opera office.
