Sandford Studio Artist Auditions:
The Sandford Studio Artists perform and cover MainStage roles, participate in community performances, and sing in the chorus. Applications for the 2019/20 season are currently closed. 2020/21 applications will open via YAP Tracker later in the year. Due to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others, Kentucky Opera will not be hosting live chorus auditions on April 17, 2020. Instead, we welcome you to submit an audition video made in the comfort in your own home. In order to be considered in the 20/21 Kentucky Opera Chorus, please submit the following materials to email@example.com by April 17, 2020. Please include in the subject Line: 20/21 Kentucky Opera Chorus Audition – Your Name.
Materials should include:
- A video with 2 arias/songs (1 aria/song in Italian and 1 aria/song of your choice). It may be two different videos.
- Videos can sometimes be too big to send directly in an email format. You may upload your video to Vimeo, YouTube, or another video platform and send the link. (Piano accompaniment not required).
- An updated resume
- A Repertoire List of 5-6 songs

Do you want to see the behind-the-scenes of an opera from the stage? Be a supernumerary with Kentucky Opera! These are non-speaking, non-singing roles in operas, similar to extras in movies. Kentucky Opera is currently seeks supernumeraries of all ages, ethnicities, and genders for La Bohème. This is a volunteer position. Casting needs vary per production.
