I hope that this email finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe. When the news of COVID-19 hit our community over a month ago, we hoped that postponing Robin Hood until May 9 & 10 would give us the time our community needed to heal from this crisis.
We have had to make the difficult decision to postpone Robin Hood once again. We do not yet feel comfortable targeting another postponement date. Our local Youth Opera Project has worked so very hard on this show, and I am heavy-hearted that we won’t get to celebrate their amazing artistry with you in May. I promise you that we will bring this amazing show to you as soon as we are able.
To those of you who have purchased tickets, we will reach out to you soon with more information about converting your tickets into a tax-deductible donation or a credit for a future show at Kentucky Opera. If you are able, I hope you will consider donating your tickets to help sustain our company and our payments to the artistic staff who have spent months working on this show.
I look forward to being with you all again in the theatre as soon as we are safely through this difficult time. Until then, be well and stay safe.
